 ATF-D3 Premium Quality Automatic Transmission Fluid Intro PETRONAS ATF-D3 is a new generation premium quality transmission fluid primarily intended for use in power transmission and hydraulic system of passenger car and truck automatic transmissions, powershift transmissions in off-highway construction equipment, power steering and other hydraulic systems requiring Dexron-III or Allison C-4 fluids. It is formulated from highly refined high viscosity index mineral oils and special additives system to provide excellent antiwear, corrosion resistance, friction retention, and thermal and oxidation stablity at high temperatures as well as excellent low temperature characteristics (below -40 °C), thereby providing excellent protection under the widest extremes of operating conditions. Its unique friction-modifying properties ensure consistent, smooth shifts and shudder-free transmission operation in all driving conditions. Superior protection against wear and improved transmission cleanliness contribute to extended transmission life. Applications Recommended for use in all automatic transmissions, power steering and other hydraulic systems for which a Dexron III or Allison C-4 type fluids are specified.
